Winter Wedding Wonderland

While Winter weddings are traditionally less popular than Spring/Summer nuptials, in the past few years we’ve seen their popularity grow. Step aside pastel pinks and enter deep palettes of burgundy, gold and forest green. Winter Weddings can be atmospheric and a romantic alternative to sunny summer weddings.

Let It Glow

Short days, long nights make a Winter Wedding starkly different to their Summer counterparts. One of the main drawbacks is the limited hours of natural light, seeing most Winter Weddings taking place at 12pm making sure there’s still some daylight hours left to capture the all-important wedding photos.

That winter light and shorter days make it easy to create a stunning romantic, festive atmosphere during both the ceremony and reception with many couples opting for an abundance of candlelight options. The ability to create a moody, cosy ambience is what attracts a lot of our couple to a Winter date.

Winter Palettes

Whilst Spring/Summer Brides usually opt for pastel light shades, winter weddings allow a couple to be braver with their wedding colour schemes. From deep reds to hunter green, paired with elements of gold and winter white, winter shades are a favorite of ours.

During our 2019 Winter Wedding Season, we seen our brides opt for our ‘Burgundy Boho Range’ along with our ‘Botanical Range’ and warming up their bouquets with deep reds and purples. We also carry a beautiful range of Hunter green table linens that warm up any function room even on the coldest of winter days. With a touch of gold metallic through our beautiful charger plates and centre pieces, your table scape will ooze seasonal glamour and a sophisticated edge.

Seasonal Sprigs

Fewer flowers may be in bloom in the winter, but that doesn’t mean you need to compromise on your arrangements. Berries, red roses and rustic styles are great if you want your bouquet to have a Christmas vibe, and they look beautiful when paired with white flowers and pale green foliage.

Our sister company, Hire and Admire Blooms also have ranges that lend themselves to Winter nuptials with their deep purples and burgundy’s at a fraction of the cost of fresh flowers. Visit www.hireandadmireblooms.co.uk to have a look.
